Long Drive Not So Long

Hey, we made it to Sonia's parent's place in PA.

Here is the data:
  • 26 hour drive
  • 1647 miles
  • 1 Wendy's value meal
  • 1 stop at Cracker Barrel (yes Sonia, we ate at Cracker Barrel - I had pecan pancakes, extra yummy)

It was a great time. When I wasn't driving, I was sleeping in the back seat. So, I actually feel pretty rested.

The only scare of the trip is when we almost lost the entire rack off of the top of the car, bikes and all. The rack caught a good wind in Kansas and to two front supports gave way and rode a wheelie for a while until we stopped. 1/2 hour of nighttime repair in the middle of nowhere Kansas and we were good to go. No major damage!

We will check in soon!

Pork Neck Part 2

Hey all,
Training is going well. Check out the two new picks. First is a picture of my helmet tan.... nice!! Second is my version of the pork neck. Look at the helmet line. Both pictures were taken by Sophie.
Fund raising, is lacking though. Hopefully we'll get there.

Tour de Pink Blogga

Hey all, yes I will Blog this year. Adam (notice his "pork neck" as Sophie calls it - a tanned or pink neck from training) and I have been training and are heading back east in a little over three weeks (yikes). Tour de Pinking we are going again! Very excited to be partnering with the Young Survival Coalition again in an effort to fight and deal with cancer as a community.

Training is going well, but much to do in the next few weeks. I will check in often!
